I cannot imagine this COPE campaign gaining the momentum anticipated by these talking heads. To begin with, the literature put out raises more questions than it answers. I think they had better hire telephone solicitors or better yet OFFSHORE this activity. I'll bet our unit 1 and 3 people would love getting telephone calls from India asking if they would not like to give an additional $5 per month. Someone said that things are beginning to stink. Well you know what? We are NOW out-numbered. Only about 50% of the labor reps are UAW. Isn't there anything in our contract that states that UAW must occupy 75% of the existing positions? Perhaps, if they want to renegotiate the UAW contract, we should request that little addition. And are all the lost timers happy? I've heard several of them have left after only a month or two...., why is that? What does Mr. Hard have to say about that? He seems to have a lot of answers. Bottom line. We need to do SOMETHING!!! Something outrageous and noticed! What do you have in mind? I am into outrageous. Lets talk about what would be fun and outrageous.

Well, it looks like they want us there all the time. Let's bring our sleeping bags, some popcorn, rent a movie, and spend the @#$%$ night. A pajama party! Tuesday night would be good.
But NO MOONING anyone. That would be even too outrageous.
Then, at midnight , we can hold a meeting (real official!! too) and take minutes and finish up. We'll put the whole thing on our time sheet! And then send that to the Dept. of Labor.
The problem is that when we get up in the morning our hair will be sticking out in all directions and we will look like we've been on a bender. We can always tell the LRO's / ALJ's/ and members that we worked all night!
I'm getting so outrageous it's silly. The burning question is, do we invite the loss timers on this quest? I say DO. Then they will learn what real job action is all about.
No alcohol. No gambling. Anyone have any other outrageous ideas?

I think it is time to get organized. We need to start having meeting to plan what to do on a united front. I know it is dificult because we are all over the state but it can be done.
First we have meeting within our geographical Area, get in put from those folk then have a centralized meeting somewhere in the state. Then who ever wants to go beside the selected spoksperson can go to meet with the rest of those like minded members. I am willing to travel and think the rest of us should for our own welfare. I don't beleive it would be a wast of time. Just think of the resources we have within our ranks. We do not need to be afraid, nor do we have to put up with this B.S. Come on guys lets get moveing.
